It is achieving; and receiving
With a thankful heart the many blessings
bestowed by God;
It is the silent thanks inside of you
When the grievances that tried you
Have been downed with patience,
rather than with blows.
What is a prayer
A deep conviction
That belies all contradiction,
That no matter where you are,
God too is there.
It is a quiet heart’s awareness
Of the beauty and the fairness
Of this world of God’s and ours...
That is a prayer.
