The Story of the Dreamcatcher

The Old Ones tell of a time when dreams held great power and drifted about at night before coming to the sleeper.  To protect dreamtime, the Old Ones created a web shield, the Dreamcatcher, to hang above cradleboards and in their lodge.  When dreams traveled the web paths, the bad ones lost their way and were ensnared, withering away with first light of day.  The good dreams, knowing the way, passed through the center and were guided gently to the sleepers....The gift of good dreams.
